Dashen Bank attended the Annual May Forum Prepared by Association of Women in Boldness (AWiB) and held at the UNECA in Addis Ababa.
Speaking at the Forum, Chief People Officer of Dashen Bank, Hewate kefelegn, said Dashen Bank is proud to have walked alongside AWiB since 2013. For over a decade, Dashen Bank has been a reliable partner and sponsor of AWiB, aligned with its mission to connect, develop, and elevate women leaders, she added.
Hewate noted that currently 56 of Dashen Bankโs female employees are registered AWiB members, actively participating in the enriching sessions it organizes.
Dashen Bank has launched a comprehensive women empowerment program, laying the groundwork for sustainable female leadership by fostering confidence, competence, and connection, she said.
Dashen Bank is supporting one thousand women-owned micro-businesses in Somali Regional State by allocating more than 100 million birr revolving fund.
