Dashen Bank Conducts Third Season Pre-Competition Entrepreneurship Training in Addis Ababa
Dashen Bank conducted the third Season of Dashen Kefeta Entrepreneurship Pre-Competition Training in Addis Ababa. Dashen Kefita is part of Dashen Bank’s ongoing efforts to enhance entrepreneurship skills in the country.
In an opening speech, Woldemariam Derese, representative of Dashen Bank’s Chief Strategy Officer, indicated that the Bank would strengthen effort to undertake this project and make it further contribute to job creation in different areas of the country.
Woldemariam reaffirmed Dashen Bank’s continued commitment to support entrepreneurs in different sectors and also requested trainees and others to capitalize on the opportunities created by Dashen Kefita entrepreneurship contest and training.
Amha Sisay, Director of Smart City Capacity Building and Training Directorate under the Addis Ababa City Innovation and Technology Development, on his part, commended the Bank’s contribution to innovation and support for entrepreneurs.
He expressed his office’s readiness to provide the necessary support and work in collaboration with Dashen Bank in areas of job creation and entrepreneurship.
The trainees commended contents raised by the training and discussed various related issues with the trainers from Weventure, Dashen Bank’s partner as consultant to the Dashen Kefita Entrepreneurship Contest.
In addition to Addis Ababa, the third season of Dashen Kefita pre-competition training has so far been conducted in Hawasa, Mekele, and Adama, Dessie, Dire Dawa, Wolaita, and Jimma cities.
The trainees are expected to submit entrepreneurship proposal through info@weventurehub.com to take part in the competition that is scheduled to be held in Addis Ababa.
Dashen Bank has so far conducted two seasons of the Dashen Kefita Entrepreneurship Contest and had presented financial awards and supports to the winners.
