Dashen Bank Holds Fourth Women’s Empowerment Networking Forum

Dashen Bank’s ongoing Women’s Empowerment Networking Program held its fourth forum today at the bank’s headquarters conference hall.
Opening the discussion with speech, Chief Transformation Officer Ato Afework Gugsa emphasized that the bank will continue to organize forums focused on women’s empowerment in a manner that reflects its commitment to inclusiveness beyond the current program.
Ato Afework noted that Dashen Bank launched this initiative based on the belief that the potential of women should be fully realized. He also highlighted that male officers and employees attending the forum will benefit from educational sessions as part of the event.
The guest speaker, Dr. Hana Yeshingus, a management expert and consultant, shared her professional experiences and insights with the participants.
Recognizing the vital contributions women make to their country, organization, and families, Dashen Bank has incorporated supportive frameworks into its human resource policy to help women reach their full potential.
One such initiative is the Women Networking-Resource Group, a platform designed to bring together employees and experienced professionals to exchange ideas and foster mutual learning.
In her closing remark, Hewate Kefelegn, Chief People Officer, indicated that Dashen Bank will continue working on women empowerment. The Bank is striving to bring women on leadership postions and encouraging results have been registered, Hewate added. The Chief Officer also said that Dashen Bank will work the National Bank of Ethiopia to ensure networking and enhance women’s capacity.
