Dashen Bank has organized a high-level training session for 300 branch managers and senior managers at Ghion Hotel in partnership with Finance Intelligence Service, focusing on international standards for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT).
The second round training session is aimed at enhancing awareness among relevant branches regarding the assessment of the Bank’s status by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Regional Group on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT).
Abeselom Mulugeta, Director of Dashen Bank’s Compliance Management Department, stated that this initiative is crucial for equipping Branch Managers and Head Office Senior Managers with the knowledge necessary to navigate compliance challenges and effectively respond to regulatory evaluations.
The Director emphasized that Dashen Bank has launched initiatives at its branches focused on preventing financial security crimes. He announced that the training session will enhance these ongoing efforts, which include customer identification and verification processes, adherence to customer security standards, and other related issues.
This training is part of a broader strategy to raise awareness and strengthen compliance measures within the Bank, the Director further stated.
