Dashen Bank Undertakes Indigenous Tree Plantation at Mount Entoto under its ESG “Climate Action Initiatives

Dashen Bank has successfully carried out its Indigenous Tree Plantation Program on July 19, 2025 at the Mount Entoto area. This initiative is part of the Bank’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Climate Action Strategy, reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability and Ethiopia’s Green Legacy campaign.
Executive Management, District & HO Directors, and employees took part in the plantation program.
Over the past many years, in collaboration with the Ethiopian Heritage Trust, Dashen Bank has annually planted thousands of indigenous trees, contributing to biodiversity conservation and restoring degraded ecosystems. This year’s tree planting drive continues the Bank’s legacy of environmental responsibility and leadership in the fight against climate change, underscoring its dedication to mitigating the impacts of climate change.
