Job Title: Senior IFB Risk & Compliance Management Officer

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Banking.

Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience

Job Summary

• Senior IFB Risk and Compliance Management Officer is responsible for assisting the effectiveness of IFB risk management processes and establishing appropriate policies and procedures to assess the Bank’s IFB operations for Shariah rules and principles compliance. The role holder is also responsible to assist on implementing the risk management framework related to IFB principles in the Bank.

• Required Technical Competency

  • Good Knowledge of banking operations and risk based auditing.

  • Understanding of the standards of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and ability to fully comply with IIA standards.

  • Sound understanding of relevant Shari’ah requirements applicable to Islamic financial business.

  • Sound knowledge of IFB mode of finance/investments and associated risks.

  • Knowledge of policies, regulations and directives related to Financial Sectors

  • Proactive in identifying compliance issues and developing appropriate recommendations.

  • Working knowledge and analysis experience with interest free/banking requirements.

  • Clear understanding of emerging bank risks and relevant emerging issues in IFB risk management.
