Dubai, UAE – Dashen Bank S.C., one of Ethiopia’s leading financial institutions, held a strategic discussion with H.E. Asmelash Bekele, Deputy Consul General of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. The engagement was part of Dashen Bank’s ongoing mission to expand diaspora outreach, promote compliant remittance services, and introduce newly launched innovative products to the Ethiopian community in the UAE.

During the meeting, Dashen Bank’s Chief Officers and Directors presented the Bank’s latest offerings, including Agency Remittance, Dashen Connect, and Gift Ethiopia, designed to simplify remittance services, strengthen community ties, and provide Ethiopians abroad with more secure and convenient options to support their families back home.

The discussion emphasized three key areas:

Raising awareness on the importance and benefits of using legal remittance services as a safer and more reliable alternative.

Improving accessibility of compliant remittance channels to better serve the Ethiopian diaspora across the UAE.

Enhancing financial literacy among the community to empower them with the knowledge to make informed financial decisions.

He also reaffirmed the Consulate’s commitment to support collaborative efforts that benefit the Ethiopian community in the UAE.
