Dashen Bank has introduced a new and modern payment service named “Dashen Air Pay” yesterday at the Sheraton Addis Hotel, enabling customers to easily locate nearby businesses and make payments.

Dashen Air Pay is a new, simple, and modern service integrated into the Dashen SuperApp. Customers open their Dashen SuperApp application and tap on “Dashen Air Pay,” which will display nearby businesses to them. Next, by selecting the business they wish to pay and entering the payment amount, they can easily execute their payment.

Because Dashen Air Pay allows customers to make payments without needing an account number, QR code, or phone number, it makes it unique and simpler than all previous services.

In his speech at the launch ceremony, Chief Executive Officer of Dashen Bank, Asfaw Alemu, indicated that Dashen Bank is strengthening its efforts to modernize the digital payment system, noting that the service introduced today will make a significant contribution to executing transactions between customers and the business community easily and in a short time.

Asfaw stated, “With Air Pay, we are not just providing a means of payment; rather, we are also creating an option that directly connects our customers with local businesses.”

This service, which enables customers to perform seamless payments, allows the customer—after selecting their desired merchant—to verify the payment details, enter their confidential PIN number, and complete the payment within seconds.

At a time when digital payment systems are expanding rapidly, this payment service narrows the gap between businesses and paying customers. We announce that the Dashen Air Pay service is now operational.
