Yesterday, Dashen Bank’s team, led by CEO Asfaw Alemu, participated in a significant event organized by the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) at Skylight Hotel. The occasion marked the launch of a groundbreaking initiative, DEBO, aimed at attracting large-scale remittances to Ethiopia.

Under NBE’s guidance, Ethiopian banks, including Dashen Bank, have committed 100 billion Birr to support the DEBO campaign, which will run over the next six months.

During the event, NBE also unveiled Unite.et, a new platform enabling Ethiopians and foreigners of Ethiopian origin to open bank accounts in Ethiopia virtually, making it easier than ever to connect with the country financially.
