Lime Tree PLC (“Lime Tree”) today announced at the event the immediate availability of the product and announced it has entered into a co-branded gift and loyalty card program agreement with Dashen Bank and a co-brand acceptance incentive agreement with AMOLE and FlyDubai. The Lime Tree Family Card is available at all Lime Tree stores and Dashen Bank branches.

Under the terms of the agreements, AMOLE, Ethiopia’s largest digital payment issuer, would become the exclusive issuer of Lime Tree’s co-branded card. Lime Tree’s co-brand gift card would provide cashless and card not present “eCommerce” payments, generous rewards such as “Instant Cash Back”, round-trip tickets to Dubai by FlyDubai and also serve as Lime Tree’s membership card which will be used by over 100,000 customers at all Lime Tree and affiliate locations in Ethiopia.

Mr Yemiru Chanyalew, CEO of Moneta Technologies SC, said “AMOLE continues to gain traction with its national partnership strategy, and we are delighted to be collaborating with Lime Tree as we build up our presence and scale our digital ecosystems where our customers are active.”

Amole is a secure and efficient digital payment platform that links consumers, banks, merchants, mobile content aggregators and service providers into an electronic payment ecosystem.  Amole aims to deliver a collusive financial service to the unbanked and under-banked people of Ethiopia; enabling them access, aggregated financial services from their banks, service providers, agents and merchants at a single point of service.

Neway was re-elected as Board Director during the 27th Ordinary Annual Shareholders Meeting conducted on December 24, 2020.

During the occasion, four existing Board Directors were re-elected, while five new Board Directors were elected. The Board of Directors’ election has also been approved by the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) on March 29, 2121.

The Chairman, Neway Beyene, has his background in Information Technology. He earned his BSc in Electrical Engineering from Addis Ababa University, Faculty of Technology in 1984 and his Masters of Business Leadership from Graduate School of Business Leadership, University of South Africa (UNISA) in 2013.

He has worked in a professional and leadership position at various local and multinational information technology firms and is currently a General Manager of Afcor PLC, an IBM Business Partner in Ethiopia.

Profit before tax of the Bank reached Birr 1.8 billion by the end of June 2020 reflecting a growth by 39.9%. The Bank’s total asset as at June 2020 grew by 21.4% over the last year position and reached Birr 68.8 billion. The total capital of the Bank increased by 21.4%and stood at Birr 8.31 billion.

As a result, the earning per share stood at Birr 490 showing an increase of 20.2%. Currently, it owns over 450 branches all over the country.

ባንኩ በዚህ ጉባኤ ጊዜያቸዉን ባጠናቀቁ የቦርድ አባላትን በአዳዲስ አባላት እንዲተኩ አድርጓል፡፡ በጉባኤዉ የባንኩ የካፒታል መጠን ከ3.5 ቢሊየን ወደ 5.5 ቢሊየን እንዲያድግ መደረጉም ተመልክቷል፡፡ ባንኩ ባለፈዉ አመት ከግብር በፊት 1.8 ቢሊየን ብር ማትረፉንም አስታዉቋል፡፡ ዳሸን ባንክ ባለፈዉ በጀት አመት ብቻ የተለያዩ ማህበራዊ ሃላፊነቶቹን ለመወጣት ከ92.4 ሚሊየን ብር በላይ ወጭ አድርጓል፡፡

በባንኩ ባለፈዉ አመት ብቻ ከ148 ሺ በላይ አዳዲስ ከወለድ ነፃ አገልግሎት ተጠቃሚዎች ሂሳብ የከፈቱ ሲሆን ይህም ባንኩን ከ2.4 ቢሊየን ብር በላይ ተቀማጭ ገንዘብ እንዲያገኝ አስችሎታል፡፡ ባለፈዉ በጀት አመት ከ46 ቢሊየን ብር በላይ ብድር የተለያዩ ደንበኞች እንዲያገኙ ተደርጓል፡፡ በበጀት አመቱ ከ1.1 ሚሊየን በላይ የሚሆኑ አዳዲስ ደንበኞችም የዳሸን ባንክ ኢንተርኔት ባንኪንግ አገልግሎት ተጠቃሚ ለመሆን አካዉንት ከፍተዋል፡፡ የባንኩ የካርድ ተጠቃሚዎች ቁጥርም ከ1.1 ሚሊየን በላይ የደረሰ ሲሆን ይህም ካለፈዉ አመት ጋር ሲነፃፀር የ25.5 በመቶ እድገት አሳይቷል፡፡ የባንኩ አጠቃላይ የሃብት መጠን 68.3 ቢሊየን ብር የደረሰ ሲሆን ይህም ካለፈዉ አመት ጋር ሲነፃፀር ከ21 በመቶ በላይ ዕድገት አሳይቷል፡፡

ዳሸን ባንክ ባለፈዉ አመት በመላ አገሪቱ ያሉትን የቅርንጫፎቹን ቁጥር ወደ 423 አሳድጓል፡፡
